Buying a Non-Running Car? Check These Things Before Collection

An affordable non-runner can become expensive if the collection site has poor access, missing keys or wheels that will not turn. Plan the movement before paying for the vehicle.

Check the vehicle and paperwork

Ask the seller for the registration, make, model, approximate weight, photos of the car and access route, whether the steering unlocks and whether the parking brake releases. Confirm that the seller can hand over keys and ownership paperwork.

Plan the next step

Check the vehicle's identity and status independently before purchase. Agree in writing who pays for collection, when the vehicle is released and what happens if the transporter cannot load it.

How ONAGONE can help in South Yorkshire

ONAGONE can assess planned collection to your driveway, workshop or another agreed destination. Actual trailer and towing limits apply; a request is not a confirmed booking.

ONAGONE serves enquiries around Rotherham and surrounding South Yorkshire areas. For vehicle transport, vehicles up to 2,600 kg may be considered only if actual trailer, vehicle and towing weights comply with all plated and legal limits. Safe loading, access and availability must be confirmed before acceptance.
