What Does a Scent Profile Actually Tell You?
A scent profile summarises the overall direction of a fragrance. It is a helpful map, not a full representation of everything in the bottle.

HOW IT WORKS
Descriptions such as woody, aromatic, amber or floral group impressions into familiar categories. Individual perfumes can sit comfortably across several categories.
WHY IT MATTERS
A profile cannot reliably convey strength, personal suitability or exact wear time. Two fragrances both described as woody may feel almost unrelated.
A PRACTICAL APPROACH
Use the profile to choose what to sample, then make your decision from the complete composition and the specific product information.
THE XASIS PERSPECTIVE
Treat a fragrance guide as a useful starting point. The experience of a finished product, your own preferences and its label information remain more important than broad descriptions. XASIS currently presents its Signature Five as fragrance design concepts in development; final notes, formula details and availability are confirmed only for finished products.
